This policy explains what personal data Reg Radar(operated by Reg Radar Ltd, ICO registration ZC155835) collects and how we use it.

1. Data we process

• Vehicle registrations (VRMs) you search for.
• VIN / chassis numbers where required to generate a report.
• Account details if you register (name, email).
• Payment metadata (Stripe handles card details — we never see them).
• Basic device, IP and analytics data to operate and improve the site.

2. Why we process it

• To deliver the vehicle history report you requested.
• To process payments and send receipts.
• To prevent abuse, fraud and rate-limit excessive use.
• To improve the service.

3. Third-party data providers

To generate reports we send the vehicle registration (and where required, VIN) to:

• One Auto API (MOT history & tax status).
• Experian (vehicle identity, AutoCheck and salvage — via One Auto API).
• Cazana / Percayso (previous adverts — via One Auto API).

We do not sell your personal data. Payments are processed by Stripe.

4. Retention

Premium reports are retained for up to 12 months from purchase to allow you to access them from your account. Search and report metadata may be retained for fraud prevention and analytics.

5. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, and object to certain processing. Contact info@reg-radar.co.uk.

You have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
